The Sliders Story
Sliders Cafe is the entrepreneurial dream of Marty Lepore and Phyllis Lee Kenworthy, both long-time residents of east King County. The term 'Sliders' is more than just a food item -- Marty is also known as "Dr Slide," master of the steel guitar or slide guitar. Marty and Phyllis combined their love of music and home-cooked food to create an Italian/American-influenced eatery and Americana music venue. They found the perfect location in a vintage 1938 Gilmore gas station in Carnation and spent many hours renovating it into a retro diner.
Originally planned to be a simple lunch stop, Sliders has grown to become a community gathering place with a thriving nightlife and dinner scene. While they specialize in delicious, hot Italian meatball and sausage grinders and specialty vegetarian sandwiches, the evening menu includes plated dinners such as Stacked Lasagna or Chicken Parmesano that can be topped off with American comfort desserts such as their famous five pound Apple Pie or seasonal fruit cobblers. Special dietary options for gluten free or dairy free issues are no problem. If you have a family party coming up, their location and unique venue is perfect for groups of 10-40 people.
Sliders Cafe is a family-owned and operated business. We have a small but dedicated staff who are focused on providing high-quality food and music to the Snoqualmie Valley and beyond.
